❗For those of you who are not Chinese, I am sorry about this debate.❗ If you look at this part from 7:00-8:06, it's obviously kimchi. 15:45 This part, too. It looks like making kimchi stew. But the Chinese say it's Sichuan Paocai. Sichuan Paocai is a pickled food like pickles with a spicy taste made of cabbage. It's different from kimchi. They know that this is kimchi. Because it is also a culture ethnic Koreans who moved to China. Still, it doesn't mean that all the cultures of foreigners who live in China are Chinese. Liziqi says it's just Chinese food in the explanatory column. We are saying that this is wrong Since the Korean Peninsula and China differ according to tastes as well as environment, the historical nature of kimchi should be judged based on cultural origins. The difference between Korean kimchi and Chinese pickled vegetables is found in the way they are pickled. In China, vegetables are pickled and stored in alcohol such as alcohol and vinegar, while in Korea, vegetables are pickled and fermented with soy sauce or salt. Therefore, China can be divided into a culture of herbaceous food, and Korea into a culture of lactic acid fermented food. So, Kimchi is different in its own way as fermentation food. Kimchi is Korean food. TBH, we eat kimchi everyday and we grow up watching and learning how to make kimchi. Im pretty sure 90% of Koreans have seen or know how to make kimchi. WE are not just doing this because it looks like it. It is 100% KIMCHI. Ask any kids walking down the street in Korea. They will all say that food she is making is Kimchi

Kimchi is a traditional Korean food and it is not Yeonbian's food. And the important thing is that Korea and China are different countries. The reason why we protest like this is that China is making Korean culture Chinese. We must protect Korean culture. So please stop the (Dongbei Project) China's Northeast Asian Project. Please please!

I don't think it's necessary to argue. Many countries have their own kind of kimchi, just called by different names in their languages, if claim all the kimchi are developed from Korean kimchi, it just makes no sense to me, but the English word kimchi is developed from the Korean word 김치, so if you say the English word kimchi is from Korea then it is fair to say.

Cabbage, which Kimchi is made from, is native to China. Knowledge of fermenting vegetable too was spread from China to Korea, which Korean modified and called it their own. That's fine. But how can Korea claimed it's their exclusive food??? UNESCO recognized kimchi making for its culture significance, it's not a certification of origin or exclusiveness. Confucius Academy in Korea is UNESCO listed too, but Confucius is Chinese.

How about you, Chinese? If you have one, prove it! Plz stop being jealous of Korean culture(Kimchi, Hanbok etc), and be proud of your own heritage, Uhan virus.

Let me say another fact: South Korea imported about 306,500 tons of kimchi in 2019, 99% of which came from China. It's ridiculous, you guys are basically imported from China. If China doesn't want to export kimchi to South Korea, you could only eat dust bunnies.
