It’s only fitting that they quit while everyone still remembers the name Daft Punk. People will talk about them long after all of us, they not only went around the world, they reached into the stars and from the distant galaxies of our universe they reinvented a genre and defined an entire generation while simultaneously becoming a title that will be talked about for the next few years. Let’s be honest with ourselves. You beat the game. Most musical duos or groups do not get a happy conclusion to the books. They go out in a rage of hellfire and fast lifestyle or split up over different differences or record companies simply take advantage of it. Daft Punk? They made the best pieces they could and now it's their time to enjoy the fruits of life and hard work without worrying about tours, content, etc. They have won. Whatever you’re doing out there today, remember your passions, your hobbies. Go after them, be methodical, and you can come out clean on the other side too. It seems pointless at times, but life is an opportunity not worth ignoring. Win the game now I ca’t think of a future text on the history of music and culture that doesn’t mention it, and that, that's so nice, thank you Daft Punk, you'll never be forgotten, I don’t mean that. RAM is still one of my favorite albums of all time and considering the wait for that album followed by nothing really since it makes sense they would choose to move on. RAM felt like the ending to a movie and I think they should have moved on shortly after that, but this works too.
